Setting up of Centre for Alternative Dispute Resolution Education and Research (CADRER) is an initiative of SILERBONE KNOWLEDGE FOUNDATION – a Section 8 Company (NPO) incorporated under the Companies Act, 2013 – for propagating the principles and practices of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) edifice and providing Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Services (viz. domestic and international Arbitration, Mediation, Conciliation, Negotiation, Pre-Litigation Counselling & Consultation) as well as  ADR Education & Research in India.

In India, Arbitration and Conciliation, an Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) mechanism, have been given statutory mandate with the enactment of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 based on the UNCITRAL Model Law and subsequent amendments in the Act in 2015, 2019 and 2021 significantly impacting the efficacy. Arbitration, as an ADR mechanism, has the potential to become one of the most preferred and effective modes of economic, commercial and civil dispute resolution in Indian jurisdiction. Mediation is also a preferred ADR mechanism, being governed under the Mediation Act, 2023, and is being effectively practiced in India.

The governing enactments with respect to ADR framework in India:

  • The Legal Services Authority Act, 1987
  • The Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996
  • The Mediation Act, 2023

Vikash Kumar

Founder and CEO

A student of Finance, Management, and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Laws. He treasured his professional voyage of 21+ years of working in the domain of Finance, Accounting, Procurement [Contracts/Bidding (Tendering)] Management, Taxation, Supply Chain Management, and Dispute Management with giant (Public & Private) Industry leaders. He practices in the filed of dispute resolution through ADR (viz. Arbitration, Mediation, Conciliation, and Pre-Litigation Consultancy) mechanism, Finance, Corporate Laws & Governance, CSR, and ESG. He has co-authored a book titled "Crypto Currency and Emerging Trends in Fintech" and has published his Articles in International and National Journals.

He has over 45 years of unparalleled experience of working in various facets of Thermal Power, Hydro Power, Renewables, and Other Infrastructure Sector and has occupied the apex positions of Former CEO, Aravali Power Company Pvt. Ltd. Former Regional Executive Director, NTPC Limited and Former Chief Project Director (Bhutan), WAPCOS Limited. He is a Civil Engineer with B.Tech degree and has also earned Diplomas in Project Management & Management of Public Enterprises and also Post Graduate Diploma in ADR from ILI, New Delhi to his academic accomplishments.

He has earned his Graduation in Law (LL.B) from Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi (UP) and Post Graduation in Law (LL.M) from BBAU, Lucknow (UP). He has earned professional experience in the domain of Law working with National Insurance Co. Ltd., Bhubaneswar before resuming his professional endeavour in Legal Education since 2019.

Ragesh Ranjan

He is a Management Graduate and also a Law Graduate (LL.B). He has 20 years of working experience in handling various facets of Factory HR in various industries viz. Cement, Asbestos, Thermal Power, Edible Oid, Construction, Wind Power, Buiscuit Manufacturing, Education and Home Appliance.

Ravi Singh Choudhary

An Author and ardent researcher in the area of Indian Knowledge System

He has authored four books ‘Rishi Intelligence’,’ Chanakya’s Intelligence’, ‘Krishi Samhita’, and ‘Gau Samhita’ and has published a paper on ‘Decolonisation of the Mind’. He is a Mechanical Engineer with B.Tech degree from BIT, Sindri and has worked for HEC, Ranchi and Vedanta. He is presently a Director of a consultancy firm namely Dharnvantri Natural Foundation which serves in the area of Vrikshayurveda (Agro Ayurveda), Vedic Cow Rearing, and Agroforestry. He is also a Member of Sub-Committee of New Syllabus & Curriculum for Bachelor of Science (Heritage of Agriculture, Natural Farming).
